Data Archiving: Policy-Based, Redundant, &
Secure
AmeriVault-DV provides
digital vaulting and data archiving, allowing you to easily
migrate static data to protected data centers - one primary
vault and one replicated over 1,000 miles away for
redundancy and AmeriVault's own disaster recovery preparedness.
AmeriVault's managed, offsite lifecycle service eliminates archive
infrastructure investments and maintenance while
significantly reducing the total cost of ownership.
File stubbing (leaving
1KB shortcuts to archived data in the original
location) provides an efficient way to optimize
production-line server capacity while leaving file names
untouched for easy search by end users.
As a policy-based service, AmeriVault-DV
simplifies the archiving process. Data can be archived
to AmeriVault's Mass Storage Vaults using policies you determine:
by file size, date created, date last altered, or a
combination. Compression ensures speedy archiving /
restores and encryption ensures security for all files
archived. Restoring stubbed files simply requires one
extra click after the end user selects the file name.
You also have the option to leave no trace and limit archive
access control to select administrators.
